Innovative technology often gives designers the capability to develop higher quality, more creative work than what was possible in the past. This was the goal at L&H Companies for purchasing EFI’s VUTEk GS3250 Superwide LED Inkjet digital printer with UltraDrop Technology. This 3.2-meter wide flatbed and roll-to-roll UV printer allows you to deliver the powerful combination of superior photorealistic quality and high productivity you need to grow your business and differentiate yourself from the competition. There are a lot of technical features and benefits of this technology such as:
More Precise Color Matching
This printer offers eight-color plus white and Fast-5 printing for photorealistic quality at production speeds. This is a calibration run for a rebranding project we did for a group of 7 hospitals in Kentucky. The rebrand specifications include 4 colors that can’t even be found in a PMS or Matthews book. The challenge is to precisely match the logo colors on a translucent substrate. This is where backing the color ink with opaque white makes this match possible.
Vivid Photographic Detail Without Visible Dots
The printer comes with dual resolution capability of 600 dpi or 1000 dpi for superior graphics. This is a standard calibration file printed at 1000 DPI. The specs for this printer include:
- UltraDrop Technology offers smaller drop sizes and more precise control with native 7pL print heads and true multidrop addressability in each dot position
- High apparent resolution and high-definition quality with four-level grayscale and two ink density levels.
- Outstanding smoothness in shadows, gradients and transitions.
There is no doubt this is the highest quality photographic reproduction available on the market today.
Accurate Typographic Detail
The 1000 DPI high resolution and small dot size give you superb text quality with four-point text in both standard and knockout with fewer satellites and more clarity in all print modes. In addition, the ink is highly scratch resistant.
Flexible Inks on Molded Substrates
This impressive flexible ink technology allows graphics to be modified with a distortion algorithm, printed on a moldable substrate, and then heat molded in a vacuum form machine resulting in and end product without any loss to the integrity of the ink coverage. Printing the graphics before the molding process is faster, more economical, and more durable than the conventional process that the majority of sign companies use today. Durability is unrivaled because the graphics are printed second surface on the molded acrylic, or “behind the glass”.
Second Surface Printing with White Ink Over or Under
This technology really opens up the creative possibilities with eight colors plus opaque white ink printable over or under the colors. The white ink does not have to be a flood coat, it can be printed in intricate spot graphics for endless creative possibilities.
Industry Leading Substrate Media Size and Flexibility
The printer can handle flexible and rigid media up to 126 inches wide and 2 inches thick. That’s 10 feet wide, and with roll to roll flexible applications, the length possibilities are almost endless!
We’re ahead of our competition by owning the EFI VUTEk GS3250. At L&H Companies our commitment is to set you ahead of your competition by offering endless possibilities and superior graphics to your brand image.
