One Meridian at Spring Ridge wasn’t always the premier Class AAA corporate center in Berks County PA. It started out as a bank headquarters, who was then gobbled up by another bank, and then another, and then it closed in 2002, 22 years after it was built.
It sat as a white elephant for years until BPG development bought it in 2006. The developer, since renamed Equus Capital Partners, knew it was unlikey that they would be able to entice a large corporation to relocate to the site, so it invested 8 million to renovate the facility into a multi tenant building.
Now that they no longer had a building from the 80’s, they decided to get rid of the signage from the 80’s, and the solution is this award winning monument sign:
At night, the sign features multiple lighting technologies. One Meridian channel letters are emphasized with face lighting, edge lighting, and halo lighting. Reflections are eliminated with a matte textured paint on the background surface. Accent illumination on the end panels features MaxBrite color changing LEDs, that gradually change through a spectrum of colors.
